GoveTech Quest: 6-Month Intense Project - Terms and Conditions


  • GoveTech Quest is open to all college students in and who meet the specified technology skill requirements.  

Team Composition:

  • Each team must consist of a maximum of five members. 
  • All team members must be currently enrolled as college students. 
  • Team must have  JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, MongoDB, RDBMS/SQL skills to participate in the event. 

Registration Process:

  • Participants must register through the official registration form by the specified deadline. 
  • Teams will be selected based on their skills, past projects, and suitability for the event. The selection process may involve discussion with team members and meritocrats. 
  • The decision of the selection committee is final and cannot be contested. 

Project Development:

  • Selected teams will be provided with project concepts by the event organizers. 
  • Projects must be developed using the specified technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, MongoDB, RDBMS/SQL. 
  • All project code, designs, and assets must be original and developed during the event. 
  • Teams must adhere to ethical and responsible coding practices. Plagiarism and copyright violations will result in disqualification. 


  • Mentorship will be provided to teams by experienced professionals throughout the event. 
  • The role of mentors is to guide and provide advice. They will not directly contribute to project development. 

Weekly Check-ins:

  • Teams are required to attend weekly in-person status update meetings at the specified location. 
  • Failure to attend these meetings without valid reasons may result in disqualification. 

Intellectual Property:

  • Participants understand that the developed projects are intended to be completed during the project event and may be utilized for various purposes, including promotional, marketing, and commercial activities. 
  • The company hosting the event retains the right to use, showcase, and potentially commercialize the developed projects, acknowledging the participants’ contributions. 


  • Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams: 1st Prize – 100k, 2nd Prize – 75k, 3rd Prize – 50k. 
  • Prizes are subject to applicable taxes and will be distributed as per the rules of the event organizers. 
  • The company holds the authority to determine the winners based on the excellence, quality, and user experience of the projects. 

Code of Conduct:

  • Participants are expected to maintain professionalism, respect, and a collaborative spirit throughout the event. 
  • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and may lead to immediate disqualification. 

Changes to Terms:

The event organizers reserve the right to make changes to the terms and conditions as required.
